About Storys Game Birds

Storys Game Birds is a small but growing family business in Sussex County, Virginia, specializing in raising fast flying and fully weather conditioned Bobwhite Quail, Chukar, and Pheasant.   We began raising bobwhite quail because of our love for bird hunting and the native Northern Bobwhite Quail.  Our business has quickly grown into a commercial operation licensed by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.  We are involved with the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP).

In our first year of business we raised 1,000 bobwhite quail and 200 pheasant.  This year, we raised nearly 25,000 bobwhites, 7,000 chukar, and 8,500 pheasant.

We have our own hatchery and bird production grow-out facility.  We take pride in the fact that we hatch our own chicks and raise premium flight conditioned birds, keeping some of our best birds each year for breeding stock.  We have built a positive reputation for consistent reliability to the quality of our game birds.
